Hope for Planet Earth DVD
The DVD of Hope for Planet Earth is now available.The DVD of the Tour is now available (price £10 from the JRI office). For any who missed the multimedia tour, it has been filmed with original speakers and has already been used successfully in small groups.
There are two versions (please specify which one with your order) , one for churches (which contains strong biblical challenges from Rev David Bookless and Andy Frost) and one for schools in which the science is simplified and the Christian challenge less direct. The presentation includes a short Tearfund film about a farmer in Malawi which helps put a face and name to the effects of drought and flood on one man trying to feed his family.
There are also additions to the Tour material which could prove a powerful resource for churches wanting to introduce Creation Care. There is a whole Service outline, including song suggestions and a full Sermon, and separate material for children and youth, including a quiz. Sir John Houghton’s Briefing Paper is included with its factual account of Climate Change, as well as a short filmed talk by him in which he speaks of the urgency of personal and public action.
