Six Degrees: our Future on a Hotter Planet

Review by Sir John Houghton: The 2008 Royal Society Prize for the best general science book of the year was won by Mark Lynas, Six Degrees: our Future on a Hotter Planet. It is an excellent book, very readable and well researched, describing in lay man’s terms what climate change at different levels of warming from 1 to 6 degrees will mean for different communities in various parts of the world. It is a book that should galvanize us all into urgent and effective action to keep the warming down to the lowest possible level.
